A CAPTIVE HEART by Sherry Foley
There is a mystery that needs to be uncovered, and FBI agent Ian has decided to get to the bottom of it and the corruption plaguing his department. Enter Nicole; a normal teacher dead set on weaving her way into his world. As Ian begins to figure things out, Nicole is unknowingly pulled in and he now must shift his focus on protecting her. What takes place after that is an intriguing tale of suspense and romance.
This is an engrossing and satisfying tale that I knew completely nothing about as the story unwound before me, I was completely sucked in. The danger and the chemistry between the two main protagonists kept me turning the pages. Foley’s writing is what really captivated me the most. The atmosphere of each scene is played out with subtle detailing that really transported me into the scene. And the characters were rich, making my connection to them seamless and natural. The plot was well thought out and I wanted to read more and more. There are some sensual scenes in the book and it is definitely not kid friendly, but I’m sure the ‘older folks’ will be very, how should I say…satisfied by the experience.
Great read.
